    Wisconsin Title I Association

    Promoting Quality Title I Programs in Wisconsin

    School Grant Application

    2008-2009

     

    Dear Title I Coordinator/Teacher/Administrator:

     

    The Wisconsin Title I Association will be awarding one grant award for a maximum amount of $2,000 to Title I school buildings or districts in support of innovative programming that benefits Title I students. The grant award will be chosen by an award committee from the association. The award will be given at the Wisconsin Title I Association spring meeting.

     

    The award is available to any Title I school building or district that meets the criteria. The recipient must:

     

    v     be a Wisconsin Title I school or district

    v     have at least one staff member that belongs to the Wisconsin Title I Association

    v     demonstrate a financial need

    v     show administrative support

    v     show school board support

    v     demonstrate how the project will impact student academic success

    v     coordinate with the school district or building goals

    v     demonstrate parent involvement

    v     involve a curriculum director or reading specialist

     

    Schools awarded a grant will be required to present the results of the program at one of the Title I Association conferences or by writing an article for the Title I Association web page.


    Projects will be funded for a one year period. Exemplary projects may be renewed for a second year of funding. Gant applications must be postmarked no later than March 15, 2009. Faxed copies will not be accepted. You must use the official form to be eligible. Please submit one original along with two copies of the grant. Grant recipients will be notified in mid April. The grant recipient will be expected to attend the Title I Association Spring Conference where the grant award will be announced. Grant applications should be submitted to:

    Grant recipients will be expected to submit a list of expenditures with backup documentation to the Title I Treasurer by June 15, 2010 for reimbursement.
