Welcome to the official WTIA web site. The Wisconsin Title I Association is a dedicated group of educators committed to promoting and enhancing the quality of Title I programs throughout the state of Wisconsin. The group is comprised of educational professionals from all corners of the state who are concerned with children who have learning difficulties.
Working directly with the Department of Public Instruction, the association identifies common concerns and seeks methods for resolving the challenges facing Title I programs and administrators.
The Association reviews recommended educational research and issues, disseminates educational information, shares ideas with local educational agencies, serves as a peer support group for educators and promotes the development of quality teacher programs.
Two conferences are held each year, one in the fall and one in the spring, to keep members current on developments in the field and to share the latest state and federal updates. In addition, the Association holds a winter meeting in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Reading Association Conference.
The Wisconsin Title I Association serves as the state affiliate of the National Association of Federal Education Program Administration (NAFEPA).
